“As this piece progresses, some instruments can be heard embracing their moments in the spotlight as soloists, but each soloist is bound to return gently to their home in the larger orchestral sound. I encourage listeners to reflect on their own relationships with the community around them, and on the roles that they play. After all, when we take care of our communities, they will take care of us in return. It is only natural that everyone have a home to return to.”
